Padmanava College of Engineering (PCE),set up under the aegis of "Padmanava Education Trust " (PET)in 1999 , has some eminent personalities like Mr. T R Patanaik , Engineer .D R Patnaik, its members . It is a registered non-government organisation dedicated for promoting and quality education in the state and the country as well . The head quarter of the trust is at Bhubaneswar

The institute takes utmost care to expose the students to the real life requirements of industry and social commitment while arranging the statutory vocational summer training. PCE has one technical forum for each department that

conducts Seminars, Quiz and Group Discussions involving the students so as to enhance their technical skill and knowledge apart from usual academic progress. Besides the institute has a Training and Placement cell manned by experienced Public Relation and Human Resources professionals and are in the process of developing rapport with prospective employers of its products in due course of time. The management is quite confident for the future of the student of PCE.







ADMISSION PROCEDURE

MERIT IS THE KEY

As per the prevalent stipulations the minimum eligibility criteria for admission to B.E1st.semester is as below:

1)Pass in +2 Science Examination of CHSE, Orissa, or equivalent thereto wit Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (Passed separately in all subjects.) OR
2)Pass in 3-Year Diploma course in Engineering course conducted by the State council of Technical Education & Vocational Training, Orissa or equivalent thereto.
As per the norms presently set by the AICTE, New Delhi, 50% of the total seats are free seats, and the rest 50% of are catagorised as payment seats which includes 5% of the total seats earmarked as NRI/Management seats.

Admission to seats under the NRI/Management category, are given on the basis of merit in terms of higher percentage of marks secured at +2 level, as per the guidelines issued by DTET, Govt. of Orissa.

LATERAL ENTRY Seats equaling to 10% of the total intake are open for lateral entry to the third semester by the candidates having passed the Diploma Engineering Examination, conducted by the State Council of Technical Education & Vocational Training, Orissa or its equivalent securing at least 60% of the total marks in aggregate
